You as a Mechanical and Electrical Superintendent will:

  • Provide direction during functional performance testing of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Monitor work performance and efficiency of mechanical and electrical employees, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project plans and schedules are followed effectively and within budget
  • Plan the mechanical and electrical components of a construction project and prepare a construction schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager
  • Advise senior management of potential problems, work interferences or schedule difficulties while assisting in resolving these conflicts
  • Lead M&E project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing progression
  • Review mechanical and electrical changes received from the architect to ensure they are complete and up to standards and review subcontractor prices on these changes


Is this the right role for you?

  • You have a construction related degree/diploma and five to six years of mechanical and electrical construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
  • You have a working knowledge of scheduling, project management and contract software
  • You have the ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes and produce workable solutions while coordinating multiple building processes
