Position overview

We have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Marketing Coordinator. This is a key support role that assists with execution of YVR’s marketing portfolio including partnership and commercial marketing, in-terminal events and activations and marketing campaigns. Working closely with the Marketing team, the Marketing Coordinator works to ensure strong brand activation for YVR across key partnership properties, events, and regional marketing initiatives. This role also provides project coordination across the Guest Experience portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support implementation of commercial marketing strategies designed to build awareness and affinity for YVR’s food, beverage, and shopping offers as well as parking and other products, supporting relationship management and non- aeronautical revenue at YVR.
  • Develop and oversee marketing orientation for commercial tenants and provide ongoing support to ensure brand standards are maintained in the terminal.
  • Assist with the creation of materials for YVR communications vehicles as well as support creation of reports, summaries, speaking notes, briefing documents, event plans and other communication materials.
  • Create and maintain annual calendar of programs, activations, and campaigns, including inventory of promotional items (working with procurement to source appropriate items, working to a budget).
  • Develop and coordinate activations, pop- up events, and partnership activations in the terminal.

Key qualifications include:

  • Completion of a two to three year technical or community college Certificate or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, English or Business Administration.
  • At least two to three years of marketing experience in retail, real estate development, or similar customer service-based organization.
  • Experience working with senior level stakeholders demonstrating strong relationship building and management skills.
  • Excellent project management skills, managing multiple priorities concurrently as part of a dynamic team.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

This position is open to both Vancouver Airport Authority employees and external applicants. Previous job performance will be taken into consideration for all internal candidates that apply for this position.
