About the Team

DoorDash’s Consumer Growth Marketing team is looking for a data-driven Growth Marketing Manager who will drive customer growth across paid media channels for our strategic markets and projects in Canada. The team deploys our Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) across all performance marketing channels to meet our Consumer acquisition goals for the DoorDash Marketplace.

About the Role

You will focus on bringing marketing initiatives to life in our most strategic markets and deliver business goals which include managing investment efficiency and improving conversion across the marketing funnel. As a paid media expert, you will be hands-on in the planning, development, and execution of media buys and promotional campaigns to acquire new customers. Knowing the Canadian consumer is important to success in this role.

Both analytical and imaginative, you will understand performance data and gain insights to optimize paid media strategies while coming up with creative ways to reach our target audience in strategic markets. We are looking for a self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can build and launch campaigns for various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Search, Display, regional partnership or affiliate marketing). You will take a collaborative approach to working with multiple partners including Media Agencies, Creative, Analytics, Finance, Martech and Product teams to build and execute creative campaigns and manage campaign performance. You will report to the Senior Manager, Canada Growth Marketing on the Canada Marketing Team in our Consumer Growth Marketing organization.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
  • Lead campaign launches, optimization, and reporting inclusive of creative, campaign setup, audience targeting, and budget management.
  • Work with agencies and in-house team to optimize media buying in effort to hit growth targets while being conscious of cost
  • Monitor budget pacing and key performance metrics including New Customers, LTV, and CAC across performance marketing channels (e.g., Paid Search, Paid Social, Affiliate, Display, and App Install Campaigns)
  • Lead and measure performance across an evergreen portfolio of paid channels, but also build ad hoc strategic campaigns with separate goals and budgets as the landscape shifts
  • Develop and implement testing strategies to improve performance including creative/copy A/B testing, incrementality testing, audience segmentation, ad placements, and retargeting strategy to maximize full-funnel performance.
  • Write creative briefs to define program goals
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams and partners to ensure Canada performance goals are met
We’re excited about you because…
  • 6+ years of marketing experience including campaign strategy and planning
  • Direct, hands-on experience managing media buying and optimization (Paid search, Paid Social, Display), either at an agency or in-house. Additional experience with other marketing channels (TV, Radio, OOH) is a plus.
  • Experience using online advertising solutions such as Google Adwords, Facebook Ad Manager, and internal performance dashboards
  • Deep familiarity with all digital marketing metrics including CPL, CPA, CPC, CPM, LTV and ROAS as well as marketing attribution methodologies
  • Local market knowledge of the Canadian consumer and regional differences
  • Strong Excel skills with experience building pivot tables, multi-function formulas and graphs and basic SQL
  • Superb written and structured communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative approach to working with a diverse group of internal team members and vendors/partners
