Support the Distribution and Logistics team in data analysis, modeling and financial analysis
- Interface with other business units to ensure communication and continuous improvement of process and procedures relating to warehouse operations
- Provide operational, financial and technical expertise to both the warehouse and transportation teams to implement best practice standards.
- Review KPI’s and identify trends requiring corrective action.
- Develop and maintain the regional Business Continuity Plan and involve key stakeholders in table top exercises.
- Develop and implement policies, process, procedures and audits to ensure sustainable quality execution of service to our business partners
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, where colleagues in your department are encouraged and recognized for generating and implementing innovative ideas
- Understand the concepts of Engineered Labour Standards and its dependency to operational processes and layout.
- Develop and implement “Best Practices” and continuously review practices in each RSC
- Support System and Support Teams to ensure optimal use and benefit of logistic systems.
- Assist in the implementation and change management of new software/hardware releases
- Support RSC’s as they strive to improve operations through financial controls, slotting, layout, inventory levels, productivity, energy consumption, etc. Accountable to ensure the business is suitably trained and equipped to run the business once the new systems and processes have been activated
- Identify, assess and provide high-level support to the senior management team on potential risks and opportunities of current and future business requirements relating to productivity, warehouse/transport efficiency and capacity, and system implications
- Ensure end-to-end development and delivery of high quality business solutions, from the gathering of business/functionality requirements, analysis, design, internal costing, development and testing, to production and post production, on time and on budget
- Provide authoritative analysis, interpretation and opinion to support and guide senior management and teams, ensuring an understanding and acceptance of issues and influence the direction and nature of programs regarding supply chain initiatives
- Provide support and coordination to the business in growth and other strategic initiatives having impact on distribution and transportation
- Provide leadership, project governance for logistics related initiatives
- Ensure department abides by current OH&S policy and hold team members accountable when they have faulted on this requirement
- Undergraduate degree
- Engineering designation prefered
- A minimum of ten years direct or indirect experience in warehouse operations;
- five years supply chain experience
