Position Scope:
NACG is looking for Loader Operators to work on a remote mining site in the Fort McMurray area. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else.

Site:Fort Hills
Schedule: 14x7- 12 hours (paid for 11.5 hours) (days and nights)
Accommodations: Camp provided
Transportation: Flights provided to and from Edmonton or Calgary
Overtime:Provided after 10 hours a day or 44 hours a week

The successful candidate will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955.

Responsibilities:
  • Must have previous experience operating a loader
  • Must be familiar with material transort, both on loading and off loading
  • Must be comfortable operating in a congested environment
  • Must be able to follow instructions to ensure safe equipment operation
Summary:

All successful candidates must:

  • Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
  • Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Have experience as requested in the job description above
  • Be subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
  • Undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing:
  • Breath Alcohol Test
  • Urine Drug Test
  • Fitness-to-Work Health Assessment
  • Audiometric Testing
  • Vision Screening

All successful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:

  • CSO or BSO Certification
  • CSTS Certification and OSSA Regional only required if candidate does not have the above certification
  • Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Copy of recent Driver’s Abstract
  • VOID cheque/direct deposit form
