Who we are:

Ivey Business School acknowledges and respects the traditional lands of the Anishinaabek, Haudenosaunee, Lūnaapéewak, and Attawandaron peoples, where Western University and Ivey Business School are located. We acknowledge that we are on lands connected with the London Township and Sombra Treaties of 1796 and the Dish with One Spoon Covenant Wampum. This land continues to be home to diverse Indigenous peoples, whom we recognize as contemporary stewards of the land and vital contributors of the community.

Ivey Business School (www.ivey.ca) at Western University (www.uwo.ca) is Canada’s leading provider of real-world, case-based business education. Drawing on extensive research and business experience, Ivey’s faculty provides the best classroom experience, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and capabilities they need to confidently take on today’s leadership challenges and opportunities through Case-Method Learning. Ivey offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs, as well as Executive Education at campuses in London, Toronto, and Hong Kong.

Ivey Business School is actively recruiting for a dynamic Learning Experience Designer, Ivey EdTech Lab. At Ivey, the Ivey EdTech Lab specializes in enhancing the online and in-person classroom experience. Working with Ivey Faculty, Ivey EdTech Lab creates unparalleled experiences through a variety of technology and software programs. Under the direction of the John F. Wood Chair in Innovation in Business Learning, the EdTech Lab utilizes research from Ivey faculty and abroad to develop best practices and to ensure Ivey is providing the most up to date information when developing interactive course material.

Who you are:

As an integral member of the EdTech Lab team, you are a key individual and team contributor in creating and maintaining online and blended learning material and experiences at the Ivey Business School. You will have a proven track-record creating transformational learning experiences and innovative thinking about the future of management education.

You will work in collaboration with the EdTech Lab leadership, EdTech Lab team members, and internal and external collaborators to scope, plan, and execute educational technology solutions, standards, and projects for degree and non-degree programs. These projects will span many areas of the School and will require exceptional project management, stakeholder consultation, quality control, and communication planning to be successful.

Your primary objective is to apply instructional design theories and methods that will assist internal and external clients in deploying innovative programs including requirements gathering, scoping, testing, training, implementation, and post-delivery maintenance and support. To achieve this, you will work with Ivey IT, Program and Faculty Services, Faculty Directors and Members, and Project Owners in a team-oriented manner. Non-degree projects will be identified and developed in close consultation with internal partners such as Ivey Publishing, Ivey Academy, Ivey Career Management, and Ivey Advancement.

You will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining EdTech’s reputation as a knowledge hub for teaching technology best practices. You also deliver value-added EdTech solutions that reflect the business objectives of the School.
