Job Description

The Lead FX establish, in cohesion with the FX Supervisor, working methods for the team, taking into account the technical requirements of the pipeline, present and future. The Lead FX supervises, guides and develops the team and acts as a mentor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Create high quality, visually stunning, hyper realistic simulation on feature film projects (organic, destruction, pyrotechnic...);
• Act as an FX consultant, working closely with the CG and FX Supervisors to find the best approaches to technical and artistic challenges;
• Act as a mentor and inspire, motivate and develop the talent of FX Artists;
• Assist the FX Supervisor in developing the talent and culture of the team;
• Ensures that Rodeo quality standards are met;
• Ongoing communication with Production regarding the teams’ schedules and deadlines.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a VFX Studio;
• Minimum 1 year as a lead;
• Excellent knowledge of Houdini (Vellum, Pyro and Solaris);
• Good knowledge of FX Lookdev and render;
• Previous experience with Linux;
• Knowledge of Python;
• An understanding of an overall pipeline;
• Having a nice artistic sense.
