The candidate will primarily be responsible for creating detailed proposals with our extensive manufacturers’ design & pricing software by performing windows & doors quantity takeoffs, reading & interpreting blueprints, drawings and other relevant specifications under the direction of the Architectural Design Manager. This role will support the Architectural Sales team with technical CAD drawings, details and performance criteria.

We are seeking a detailed, creative and team orientedindividual to join our dynamic, fun and growing team at our high end architectural windows & doors design center showroom in North Vancouver.

  • Degree or diploma in architectural technologies or related field with 0-2 years working experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs & general technology
  • Keen on architectural product supplies sales
  • Ability to create and manipulate CAD drawings & construction details
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings, and plans
  • Experience using Adobe InDesign & Creative Suite
  • Experience & passion for the architecture and/or design field
  • Able to take instructions as well as self-motivated
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Innovative & positive attitude
  • Construction background / education
  • Attention to Detail, problem solving, teamwork, cooperation & accountability

Kolbe Gallery Vancouver is the sole factory direct distributor of all Kolbe Window & Door products in the Lower Mainland, North Shore and Vancouver Island, extension from our Alberta and Seattle office with more than 25 years of experience & relationship with Kolbe Windows & Doors.

Our areas of work include but are not limited to British Columbia, Alberta, Washington, with a main clientele; single family custom homes and light commercial construction.

Job Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, maps, specifications, and other relevant details.
  • Creating detailed proposals with estimate costs for supply and installation of windows & doors
  • Ensure follow-up by passing leads to Sales Representatives
  • Ensure code compliance, performance, health and safety
  • Build and maintain a high level of Kolbe product and service knowledge
  • Ensure high standards of workmanship, accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist in the resolution of design issues, change requests, material defects / service orders
  • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with our customer base of architects, designers, builders and owners
  • Review and adapt to information regarding product innovations, competitors, and market conditions
  • General office and showroom duties
  • Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and tools required in various construction processes
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
  • Ability to adapt to new technology

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
