Responsibilities

Under the responsibility of the production Foreman, the Journeyman will have as main responsibilities

As a Journeyman you will be a full member of our production team.

• Put special attention towards visual precision, note and report to immediate supervisor any defects in material, tools and equipment and protect them from any further damages.
• Keep the working area clean;
• Follow and observe safety rules and regulations;
• Follow quality procedures, work instruction or company fabrication standards.
  

Tasks

• Manipulate material with overhead cranes, jib cranes or forklift
• Use of diverse machinery such as grinder, torch, oxyfuel cutter, etc.;
• Observe our work health and safety rules and regulations;
• Follow Quality assurance procedures, work instructions as well as fabrication standards

Requirements

• All relevant work experience in the steel industry.
• Languages spoken and written: French and English (asset)
• Ability to use grinder;
• Ability to use overhead cranes and/or maneuvering steel pieces
