Our telecom client, Bell Canada, is looking for experienced IT Security Analyst with experience in application, data, and network security procedures. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 6 years experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Monitor systems and networks for security issues such as security breaches and other cyber security incidents, as well as document any breaches and assess damage
• Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information
• Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities
• Perform penetration testing
• Assist colleagues with the installation of security software
• Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management
• Develop and manage the frameworks, processes, and tools that are necessary for IT to properly manage vulnerability
• Respond to observations identified by third party auditors or examiners
• Assist IT managers and staff with the audits and facilitate management response and remediation efforts
• Ensure overall IT is compliance with regulatory requirements through proactive planning and communication

• Provide strategic recommendations to IT projects to help improve project results, quality of deliverables, risk optimization, security processes and compliance with regulations
• Educate managers on systems security management and provide any necessary training
• Receive allegations of security incidents and conduct complex investigations; prepares written findings, recommendations, and follow up evaluation; and analyzes patterns and trend
• Gather feedback from end users to continue to improve systems

Key Competencies and Experience:

• Must have 6+ years experience as an IT Security Analyst
• Proficient with security software applications and tools
• Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them
• Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and analytical skills
• Knowledge of firewalls, proxies, antivirus, and IDPS concepts
• Experienced in installing security software and documenting security issues
• Experience with penetration testing and techniques
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Bell Canada or other telecom experience is considered a strong asset
