Job Summary
The Inventory Coordinator role is responsible for requesting products to be ordered, ensuring accurate inventory accounts and levels, and submitting inventory variance adjustments. They will be implementing inventory control on all activities related to warehouse operation, shipping and receiving. This includes processing and verifying incoming purchase orders and inventory, and communicating with vendors for shipping discrepancies. This role also manages the company’s social media, specifically on instagram, and distributes a monthly newsletter. Customer service is an essential aspect of this role. The inventory coordinator must be able to handle various situations with customers both over the phone and in person.
Job Details
Product Ordering:
- Place purchase orders for supplies necessary to manufacture quality products.
- Make sure we have all the products that we need so we never run out.
- Manage all samples and order when low.
- Generate purchase orders and communicate submitted orders to suppliers.
- Match packing slips to PO’s as they arrive.
- Resolve any backorders and contact the supplier for ETA on delivery of the product.
- Communicate with coworkers regarding dealers who need to be informed of longer turnaround times due to backorders.
- Use appropriate freight companies for all shipments including both CDN and US shipments as well as small packages via FedEx etc.
- Arrange for all deliveries.
- Follow through with all needed paperwork including US custom forms.
- Connect with new dealers and work out the best shipping options for them.
- Send “Your Orders Have Shipped” email listing info.
- Fill daily hardware orders.
- Package inventory when needed for smaller packages.
- Label suspension brackets when they arrive.
- Enter monthly adjustments for wood, tape, hardware, and accessories.
- Create Monthly Newsletters.
- Manage and oversee all social media platforms.
- Create product Videos.
- Keep all photos in DRIVE organized – Shipping, drawer material, videos, EXL installs.
- Provide images to dealers upon request using DropBox.
- Fill in when production workers are short-handed.
- Strong and capable of lifting shelving.
- Respond to phone calls and walk-ins; directing customers to the correct person as needed.
- Answer questions and resolve issues that include delivery, supply, invoicing, etc
