We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Information Systems Administrator to join our growing team and make contributions to corporate IS projects.


Role
:

As an Information Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for providing system administration and support for Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems. Working within the IT department, you will:

  • Configure, troubleshoot, and support Active Directory, Microsoft 365 Online, SharePoint, Teams, and One Drive for Business.
  • Have experience in administering Microsoft Azure, Azure Active Directory, and other cloud-based services.
  • Have experience with SQL administration and maintenance, ensuring database security, integrity, stability, and system availability.
  • Perform necessary installation, upgrades, patches, security updates, and service packs on corporate systems and network infrastructure.
  • Administer and support various platforms.
  • Support the connection of additional systems, drive automation, and support optimizing business processes.
  • Collaborate with other IT members in general support activities and continually stay up to date with the advancements and best practices in IS administration.
  • Possess a strong understanding of Cybersecurity best practices such as keeping software and hardware up to date, inventory and access control, password management, antivirus/antimalware, VPN technology, network monitoring, encryption, multi-factor authentication, etc.

Education and Experience:

  • The successful candidate will have post-secondary training in a related field or equivalent experience and at least 3+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting a Microsoft Windows networking environment.
  • You will also have experience with VMWare Virtualization, a strong understanding of networking principles and general IT security, experience customizing business information systems, and great troubleshooting skills.
  • Be able to work independently while collaborating within small teams, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and be capable of interfacing with various cross-functional teams, understanding their business processes and generating automated solutions.
  • Microsoft certifications and A+ Certification, or equivalent hardware experience are assets.
