HR Generalist
Provide technical expertise in Training & Competency assurance for the Project. This position will be responsible for identifying and verifying facility-specific training and competency requirements of personnel. Working closely with the Sr. Strategic HR Partner, the Operations Readiness Team, and the Operations & Maintenance Contractor, the incumbent will provide oversight and verification to ensure all Cenovus and regulatory training and qualifications requirements are met.
Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain Project Specific Training and Competency Matrices/Database
• Support HR team & leaders in analyzing training gaps for project personnel
• Regular communications/visits with the Operations and Maintenance Contractor to verify all Contractor personnel qualifications
• Competency Assurance of personnel in line with Atlantic Region Training & Competency processes
• Collaborate with the LMS Team to identify corporate training requirements for project
• Ensure Cenovus and Regulatory requirements are reflected in System Training Modules
• Oversight and Verification of Contractor Personnel travelling to company operated facilities
• Develop reports to highlight compliance with training regulations & requirements for the project
• Support Strategic HR Partner & HR team as required
This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the training and competency database. This role will work closely with the HR team, while also engaging leaders and other stakeholders to identify project training requirements and ensure those requirements are met and in compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
• Undergraduate Degree in Business/Commerce or equivalent work experience
• 5 years’ experience within HR/Training environment
• Knowledge and experience working on Major Projects in the oil and gas industry
• Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track and report KPIs
• Knowledge of SAP / Workday (or similar HRIS) would be an asset
• Highly skilled in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (required).
• Exceptional organizational and planning skills to meet and exceed established deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to identify key problem areas and recommend appropriate solutions in a proactive manner
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to achieve team goals and objectives
• Knowledge and experience with regulatory compliance within the Atlantic Canadian offshore petroleum industry
- Experience working with Marine and Petroleum-related Standards and Guidelines
