Our Brampton location is presently looking for a Human Resources Business Partnerto join our team.

This position is responsible for the implementation of human resources activities within assigned client groups.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Act as internal consultant to the assigned client groups.
  • Coach Managers on management and leadership practices to improve support of employees and enable the achievement of organizational goals.
  • Participate in various business units’ operations meetings to keep abreast of recurring problems/conflicts/changing needs/successes of the organization and implement initiatives to address key issues.
  • Develop and implement action plans and programs, in conjunction with the Director, Human Resources within assigned client group to ensure alignment and compatibility with overall business and HR strategies and objectives.
  • Create/Improve Company HR policies and procedures to support legislative changes, consistency to streamline administration.
  • Effectively manage employee relations practices to facilitate communication between managers and employees through standardized performance management and effective coaching.
  • Manage relationship, headcount and budget with temporary staffing service providers.
  • Assist Managers with all aspects of the annual performance management and development process including coaching leaders on effective documentation practices relating to performance ensuring legal compliance.
  • .Manage STD/LTD claims for Taro Canada.Planning and completion of all activities related to recruitment including, interviewing, selection, and communication with job applicants, and final hiring phases for client groups. Coach the Human Resources Generalist in same efforts, and expand skills through delegation of various hiring assignments.
  • Coach Managers in their day to day activities ensuring compliance with all appropriate employment and human rights legislation.
  • Participate in various health and safety activities, offering assistance to the Health, Safety and Environment team, to ensure a high awareness of employee safety is maintained within client group.
  • Ensure compliance with Human Rights Legislation and Employment Standards Legislation.
  • Backup for HRIS.
  • Interact with HR Department in the US where required.
  • Responsible for creation of employee correspondence, offer letters, performance letters and other administrative tasks to support client groups.
  • Participates in the coordination of employee events for site and across Taro.
  • Assists other client groups where required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Undergraduate degree and CHRP designation preferred
  • 3-5 years progressive Human Resources Generalist experience in a Manufacturing setting, with pharmaceutical experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing Human Resources environment
  • Change Management skills
  • Good organizational, and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Business acumen
  • Ability to work in independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HRIS
  • Creative, innovative and demonstrates initiative with strong focus on teams
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Excellent customer service skills complemented with sound judgement and integrity
  • Ability to conduct oneself professionally in a variety of situations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on timely and quality completion of projects
