The HR Consultant, Management Consulting will manage the successful execution of HR and talent programs and processes for the national Management Consulting practice. Reporting to the Advisory HR Business Partner, they will provide support to a diverse client group of 700+ across the country. The successful individual will work with business leaders to understand talent needs and ensure programs and strategies enable Management Consulting to retain, engage and develop our people.

As a member of KPMG’s Business Enablement Services Team, the HR Consultant, Management Consulting plays a key role in delivering on our Business Enablement vision and ‘How can I help you’ service culture through support to Business Unit Leader(s), Develop Leader(s), and People Leaders.

What You Will Do
  • Trusted advisor, coach, and influencer to the National Leader (NL), Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Develop Leader (DL) on talent related matters.
  • Understands and articulates the talent needs of Management consulting by developing knowledge of its business strategy, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Manages and provides hands-on support for key annual people processes including performance reviews, compensation planning and succession planning.
  • Develops strong relationships with leaders and staff across Management Consulting to support day-to-day talent matters and conversations.
  • Works with the Advisory HR Business Partner to support the successful implementation of strategic people initiatives and monitors ongoing effectiveness.
  • Supports change management within the business unit.
  • Discerns insights and trends from information and data, and leverages them to identify opportunities for change that will deliver value and impact to the business.
  • Regularly monitors the effectiveness of national HR programs, processes and services and identifies continuous improvement opportunities based on business needs
  • Analyzes and interprets employee engagement survey results for the business unit and collaborates with the HR Business Partner, Advisory to develop and implement GPS related action plans.
  • Partners with team members across HR, Resource Management, and Business Enablement Services to provide robust and cohesive support to the Management Consulting practice.
  • Participates on national HR project teams, playing a track lead or contributory role.
  • Supports leaders in creating a diverse and inclusive work environment and takes action to embed diversity and inclusion in local processes and programs.
What You Bring To The Role
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and post-secondary diploma or certificate in HR
  • A CHRP, or CHRL designation is considered an asset.
  • 6+ years of experience in Human Resources in a fast-paced, corporate environment.
  • A strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities for multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop trusted relationships with internal clients and provide credible advice and guidance.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills with keen attention to detail.
  • A skilled communicator, both verbally and in writing, who is able to engage and inspire action from leaders and staff.
  • Works well in corporate shared services, team environment.
  • Solid experience working with relevant technology including MS Office, HRISs, and reporting tools.
