Responsibilities include:

• Developing electronic control units for automotive functions
• Perform worst case circuit analysis
• Perform component level DFMEAs
• Work with software and system engineers to allocate requirements to hardware and software elements.
• Assist in developing functional and diagnostic requirements
• Create schematics and layouts
• Export production data based on the developed designs
• Document the designed HW
• Develop EMC Test Plans
• Develop electrical test plans and perform electrical testing
• Specify and supervise design and product validation
• Assist during quoting activities
• Record/track times
• Support of the continuous improvement process (CIP) in terms of development methodology (ASPICE), project management, utilised tools and technologies, training, etc.
• Willing to travel to the customer
• Following rules related to workplace health and safety, ESD guidelines, protection of company property

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in automotive industry preferred
• Electronic circuitry troubleshooting experience
• Experience with integrated circuit design and analysis
• Familiar with electronic design and analysis software (Altium, PADS, SPICE, etc.)
• Schematic Capture/Simulation/PCB Layout experience using Altium or PADS
• Familiar with Failure Modes Effects Analysis and similar analysis tools
• Experience with prototyping tools including soldering and bread board fabrication
• Experience in planning design and product validations
• Experience designing for EMC compliance in an automotive environment preferred
• Experience designing with 32-bit ARM microcontrollers preferred
• Experience with ISO 26262 preferred
• Training certification in ISO 26262 preferred
