PART-TIME INSTRUCTOR OPPORTUNITIES:

Hours of availability 8am to 6pm for Day School and in some cases, 6pm to 10pm for Night School Monday to Friday. Some opportunities may require weekend availability. Part-time teaching contracts, hours, and opportunities vary per semester.

DEPARTMENT: School of Engineering Technologies, Apprenticeships, and Skilled trades

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 years recent industry experience working in commercial or research greenhouses.
• Working knowledge of a greenhouse.
• Diploma or University Degree in Horticulture, Biology, Science, Entomology or Pathology.
• Familiarity with the greenhouse sector in Ontario or other greenhouse production centres.
• Wage – commensurate based on related education and experience.

Description:

Reporting to the manager of the respective area, Part-Time Instructors are responsible for teaching assigned courses and providing academic leadership.

Salary: $48.65-$91.82 per hour

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Windsor, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• greenhouse: 3 years (preferred)
