Graphic & Website Designer

Part-time 10-20 hours per week
Temporary 6-month contract

Location: Northwoods Head Office (North Vancouver)

We are looking for a Graphic & Website Designer to participate in our company’s promotional campaigns. Your main responsibilities include producing promotional materials and updating our website at www.stongs.com.

Our ideal candidate is able to interpret customers’ behavior and suggest creative ways to increase brand awareness. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is seeking to take the next step in their career who has a hands-on, collaborative approach and enjoys interacting in-person with a variety of people inside the company. This position reports to the Marketing Director and requires website and graphic design experience. This position will play an important role in building the marketing tools that elevate the Stong’s Market brand.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Design and implement successful marketing campaigns
• Collaborate with the design department to produce promotional materials
• Craft clear product marketing copy
• Manage stongs.com
• Create branded concepts, designs and layouts for various collateral including, but not limited to in-store collateral, digital and print ads for various publications, and social media assets
• Assist with the marketing of local community events
• Attend weekly Marketing Meetings with retail and office teams
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Demonstrates the ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
• Prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines and communicates well with supervisor and others on status of workload
• Shows strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Education and Experience:

• Post Secondary education in graphic design is preferred
• Working knowledge of Photoshop (InDesign, Illustrator), WordPress and Search Engine Optimization
• Proficiency in MS Office

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Salary/Hourly Rate: $24/hour
