E. E. Oliver Elementary School

Fairview, Alberta

E.E. Oliver Elementary School is a K-6 school located in the town of Fairview 560 kms northwest of Edmonton and 100 Km north of Grande Prairie. The school provides a comprehensive educational program for its students.

Qualifications:

• Experience and/or training working with upper elementary children
• Experience and/or training in structured literacy
• Knowledge of the science of reading
• Understanding of Response to Intervention approach to learning
• Thorough understanding of phonics instruction
• Small group instruction approach to numeracy
• Strong classroom management and organization skills
• Experience and/or training with managing IEP’s and individual programming
• Exceptional communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Requirements:

• Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
• Provide an acceptable current Children’s Services Intervention Record Check
