We are looking for a motivated individual to help maximize website performance, support SEO efforts and is motivated to help deliver a first-class online experience to our customers. HealthOne is a premium health service & education company and the first clinic in the city providing an all-in-one approach to holistic healthcare. The Full-Stack Web Developer (Contractor) will be responsible for website maintenance to ensure its healthy and running smoothly, manage website design with the ability to implement ideas that improve UX and UI. This person will also be accountable for evaluating and bringing forth industry best practices to improve the overall website experience for our business and customers. Reporting to the HealthOne Marketing Director, this person will also work closely with our Digital Marketing Manager and Marketing Operations Manager to achieve results.

A successful candidate has experience in front-end design development plus knowledge of back-end technical aspects and is excited to provide a first-class experience to website visitors. They also have a passion for forward-thinking and possess a modern approach to design and user experience that drives them to think outside the box.

Primary responsibilities:

Maintenance of website to ensure it’s healthy.

• A rigorous approach to testing, diagnostics, quality control, backups, updates
• Continuous monitoring & fixing to ensure website optimization is reached
• Well versed in troubleshooting & debugging and management of hosting software
• Maintain and improve code integrity, architecture and organization
• Manage and provide remedies for any website security issues

Website design and architecture enhancements.

• Propose and build great user experiences (UX) and user interfaces (UI)
• Create code for new pages and functionality
• Can manage content management systems (WordPress)
• Assess ideas and provide approaches and solutions to implement

Improvement to the digital experience.

• Apply new web applications & programming practices to drive improvements
• Uncover, assess and implement new scripting, applications, plug-ins etc.
• Determine user needs by analyzing google analytics trends (optional)

Requirements

• Contract length negotiable (ideally for 12 months or longer)
• Hourly requirement: 5-7 hours per month minimum, but up to 20 hours per month

• Estimate 5-7 hours monthly for maintenance & improvements
• Estimate 5-10 hours monthly additional project work based on scope of work

• Available during regular business hours and occasionally after hours for emergencies
• Works remotely
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, programming, or web development

• Proficient in CMS, WordPress (2-3 years experience)
• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS (2-3 years experience)
• Knowledge of front-end design software & tools
• Understanding of CMS, HubSpot
• A dedicated team player, yet has the ability to make solid independent judgments
• Excellent project management skills, with a reputation for being flexible, results-oriented and hard-working

Salary: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
