We are looking for skilled fitters looking to work in a large weld shop on projects for a variety of industries ranging from mining firms to agriculture to tech companies. As a fitter you will be working on different and exciting projects, a typical day will go as follows: you will receive a swipe card and time allotment for each custom project to fit. Orders are fitted and welded in a variety of positions and with various metals in an allotted time. You will then receive the next project to work on upon successful completion of your project.

• JOB DESCRIPTION:*
• Work on large projects and they are built from scratch at the facility (starts as a sheet of metal, ends as painted finished product)
• Majority of projects are new work orders and often you will be working on projects you have not seen before. -You will use an overhead crane to move parts and then weld and fit them together. -You will work with all types of metals and welds although it is primarily flux-core and flat/horizontal welds, weld and wire sizes are 0.30 to 1/16th -You must be able to understand structural diagrams/blueprints in both metric and imperial -You must also be open to supporting other departments such as paint, rolling, grinding and sweeping/cleaning the shop.
• MUST HAVE:* 1) 5+ years of fitting and flux core welding experience 2) Ability to read structural blueprints 3) Able to read blueprints in metric and imperial
• NICE TO HAVE:* 1) TIG welding experience 2) CWB tickets 3) Overhead crane experience
• SHIFT:* Days
• 6:30am-4:00pm Mon-Thurs, 6:30am-3:00pm Fri Afternoons
• 4:00pm
• 3:30am Mon-Thurs
• PAY: *$28-32/hr with comprehensive benefits included
