We’re looking for you to join our team as a Consultant/Senior Consultant - Critical Infrastructure Resilience and Emergency Managementin Victoria or Vancouver, BC.


As the Consultant, your responsibilities include aiding senior colleagues in assisting public and private sector clients with emergency planning, response, and recovery. Your role involves enhancing the resilience of critical infrastructure systems to various disasters, including those influenced by climate change. This position involves using your critical thinking, technical expertise and effective communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.


Additional Duties Include:


  • Supporting major projects for public and private sector clients in various industries (transportation, social infrastructure, energy, etc.)
  • Contributing to the development of emergency response plans, logistics plans, and disaster recovery plans
  • Helping create strategies and policies to enhance community and critical infrastructure resilience against climate change-induced disasters
  • Assessing hazards, vulnerabilities, and risks to recommend resiliency measures
  • Coordinating response efforts during emergencies and disasters
  • Preparing and distributing reports, proposals, and RFP submissions
  • Conducting research, data analysis, and technical project reviews
  • Assisting in developing strategic plans and business cases

REQUIREMENTS

  • Self-Identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit
  • Strong oral/written communication skills
  • Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certification in Climate Adaptation, Geography, Engineering, Emergency Management, or a related field
  • Experience in emergency management, business continuity, climate adaption, infrastructure, or a related field
  • Strong project management skills
  • Able to manage and prioritize a variety of tasks
  • Knowledgeable about federal, provincial, and municipal policies related to emergency management and critical infrastructure protection
