Micro Focus have a major systems transformation programme underway, called stack C. This is implementing a new application stack based around NetSuite, Salesforce and Workday, to support the entire organisation and to replace the multiple legacy stacks on which they currently operate. The programme is entering the final testing phase, with phased cutover through the first half of 2021.

Working within the Micro Focus Enterprise Architecture team you will help build the team and shape the direction of the Micro Focus business systems. You will be involved in managing business-led change, working on optimisation and ongoing development projects. Initial focus will be the successful completion of the stack C programme, within which youwill be working with business and functional leads to ensure business process changes, systems implementation and configuration/customisation cumulatively provide a viable solution to support the business.

Focussing on the Finance workstream, a strong background in finance systems implementation will be essential, along with an understanding of finance and accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direction to the business and technical teams throughout the project, maintaining focus on the core programme aims:
• Minimum risk
• Minimum customisation to systems
• Simplicity over complexity
• Identification of core business differentiators as the only justification for customisation
• Provide input to decisions on:
• Technology stack
• Non-functional requirements
• Business requirements
• Design, build and test phases
• Provide technical advice, governance and solution delivery for internal business and IT initiatives
• Stakeholder management and requirements analysis
• Participate in the Design Authority, including contributing to the shaping of process and governance.
• Develop and maintain technology reference architectures and policies
• Develop and maintain technology architecture roadmaps
• Develop and maintain technology architecture cost and return on investment (ROI) models to assess architecture change
• Develop and maintain an understanding of Micro Focus software and how that can be leveraged within the organisation
• Technical product review and alignment with architecture vision and roadmap
• Establish and maintain technology vendor relationships
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the Micro Focus enterprise architecture team.
• Provide thought leadership in all areas of enterprise architecture including applications, business processes and implementation models.
  

Required Skills And Experience

• Experience in working within complex finance systems and business change projects
• Expertise in Oracle NetSuite.
• Ability to understand business issues and challenges, and translate to architecture solutions
• Experience in setting technical direction of new system implementations
• Strong interpersonal skills: proven ability to influence and gain consensus
• Ability to engage at various technical and management levels, with ability to develop relationships across an organisation
• Experience of IT change and transformation resulting from M&A activity
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 10-15 years industry experience
• 5+ years architecture experience
• Experience or certification in an industry recognised architecture framework (preferred), e.g. TOGAF
