We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Manager/Bookkeeper in our Vancouver office to execute multiple aspects of Accounting and Administration for DWF’s Canadian Insurance Services division providing claims and adjusting services to the international insurance industry.

Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable and posting of disbursements
- Accounts Receivable including billing, posting of payments and collections
- Trust accounting
- Bank reconciliation
- Financial and operational reporting
- Month end and year end
- Forecasting
- Cashflow management
- Complete and oversee collections
- Upload e-billing invoices into third party billing systems
- Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory authorities
- Prepare and submit payroll (ADP management) & tax reporting
- Oversee firm benefits and point of contact for any benefit related queries
- Track and complete all accounting tasks accurately, meeting all deadlines
- Ensure that the Firm’s accounting processes are followed and communicate to other departments and teams as required
- Respond to queries regarding the accounting processes
- Innovate and set up new business processes
- Perform other administrative and operational duties as required
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Graduate of an Accounting Diploma or Degree program
- 8+ years bookkeeping / accounting / finance experience
- Chartered Accountant (CPA) Designation preferred
- Experience with Account Edge / QuickBooks / Sage / Freshbooks or similar
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills
- Experience setting up new processes
- Experience working in a small business (10 – 100 employees) valued
- Strategic mindset, ability to develop and support overall financial strategies
- High level of initiative and professionalism, with a customer focused mind-set
- Excellent written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
