Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Schedule: 10+ Hours per day (day shift), 5 & 2, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Location: 9175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB

Description

Reporting to the Field Mechanic Supervisor, the job of a Field Repair Personnel is to assist the Field Mechanics with general maintenance and repairs on field equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Field Repair Personnel includes, but are not limited to:
  • Assisting mechanics with minor repairs and maintenance on the heavy equipment in the field.
  • Responsible for cutting edges, changing hoses, providing support for field mechanics to ensure they can complete their repairs in a safe and efficient manner
  • Must be mechanically inclined and have a strong ability to assess and determine what tools/materials may be required while the mechanics perform routine inspections on heavy equipment.
  • Ability to identify and escalate any newly identified discrepancies with heavy equipment to supervising journeryperson and ensure they are communicated to the maintenance team.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
  • A minimum of 2-5 years working in a mechanical capacity is required.
  • Experience in field, working with heavy equipment is required.
  • Class 5 driver’s license with air brakes (no GDL) required.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions for long hours.
  • Highly motived and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Committed to providing high quality services while demonstrating excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be flexible working various shifts and hours as required; including being available for evenings and weekends.
