Meadow Lake Coop is hiring a Fertilizer Plant Operatorin our Agriculture Department in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan.

What you’ll do:

Working closely with the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • To ensure acceptable level of customer service is provided to customers and you have the appropriate attitude;
  • Operate agricultural equipment and machinery;
  • Load and unload trucks coming to and from fertilizer plant;
  • Carryout safety inspections in the fertilizer plant;
  • Adherence to safety standards and fall protection practices;
  • Have a deep knowledge of products;
  • To analyze our existing and potential customers and identify other competition in the area;
  • Coming to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude;
  • Be familiar with and adhere to Meadow Lake Co-op policies and procedures;
  • Participate in maintaining location image and housekeeping standards;
  • Be available to work variety of shifts including weekends;
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • You are highly motivated;
  • Strong technical skills and know-how of production agriculture;
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do;
  • You believe in maintaining a respectful and honest work place;
  • Valid class 1A driver’s license and clean drivers abstract;
  • Eager to learn;
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more unassisted;
  • Preference will be given to applicants with agricultural background.
