In this role, you will:
- Work on interesting, unique product lines designed for rugged performance in harsh environments, such as marine, subsea, and defense applications.
- Lead technical, project-specific implementation of complex electronics systems, working closely with project managers and system engineer to meet customer requirements.
- Create and maintain internal Moog Focal specifications and documents for guiding internal electronics design while adhering to configuration management practices.
- Collaborate with engineering and production groups to create manufacturing and test documentation and ensure critical parts are identified and risks are mitigated.
- Lead user documentation efforts and generate technical project documents in coordination with project manager and with support of product leaders and designers.
- Assess compliance of technical solutions with subsea standards and regulations (e.g. API) and provide Hazardous Location Authorized Representative (HLAR) support where needed.
- Adhere to the Company’s quality plan and support related continuous improvement efforts.
Who you are:
- An Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- A Detail Oriented Person committed to high quality design and structured processes
- A Designer with broad electronics product knowledge, system level design skills, and experience with digital communication and control systems in harsh environments.
- A Problem-Solver who enjoys challenging design projects and innovative solutions
- A Learner who is passionate about new technologies and design processes
- A Communicator and a Collaboratorwho enjoys working with teams
