We are looking for a Microsoft Modern Workplace Engineer to join our national team and take ownership of our offerings around Microsoft’s Modern Workplace suite of solutions for key clients across North America! You will be responsible for interacting with clients, developing demos and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to support the sales process, and designing and leading the technical solution implementation. This role can be based out of Edmonton, Calgary or Red Deer.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead customers in their transition into the Modern Workplace which comprises Windows 10, Enterprise
  • Mobility and Security and Office 365
  • Perform the design, implementation, and configuration of M365 E5 type components for clients
  • Lead the construction of standard project delivery guides and tools, training to technical and non-technical staff, and development of a strategic roadmap for clients to enable adoption of the full stack of Microsoft 365 E3/E5
  • Work as a business advisor to provide timely, high quality client service to our mid-market clientele
  • Serve as a national resource and escalation point for projects across all regions
  • Draft statements of work (SOWs) to support the client project goals and outcomes
  • Identify and escalate cross-selling opportunities across the RSM portfolio
  • Establish rapport and trust with key client decision makers

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on technical experience (if applicable) with Office 365 and across Office Collaboration products and services, including Exchange Online, Azure AD, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for
  • Business, Intune, and O365 groups
  • Ability to provide hands-on technical support
  • High-level expertise in sophisticated identity, authentication, security, privacy, and compliance requirements, and experience integrating them into cloud and hybrid solutions
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with external clients
  • Technical breadth and experience with cloud, hybrid infrastructures and adjacent technologies, architecture designs, migrations, and industry standards
  • Client-oriented mindset
  • Willingness to travel throughout the country as needed, approximately 15-20% (1-2 days per month)
  • Advanced problem solving skills and work ethic
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a variety of projects at once
  • Microsoft or other similar manufacturer specific certifications (MS-100, MS-101, MS-500, AZ-900)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical middle-market scale experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture design and moderate knowledge in MS Modern Workplace
  • Office Collaboration products and services knowledge
  • Senior level experience with the following:
  • Windows OS (Windows 10, Server 2012+)
  • Group Policy configurations
  • Microsoft Azure Services, direction and evolution as related to enterprise desktop, mobile and infrastructure services for Azure Active Directory and modern authentication architectures, conditional access and deployment of services
  • Previous IT consulting/managed services experience with middle-market clients
  • Office 365/Microsoft 365 design experience
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Batch, VBScript)
