Overview

Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have an opportunity for anEDO Data Governance & Quality Manager in our emerging Enterprise Data Office (EDO) to develop an issue management framework to identify data quality issues and subsequently develop opportunities for improvement of the framework.

This position will be based out of Vancouver, Calgary, Mississauga, Toronto, Montreal, Dartmouth, or Stellarton, depending on the successful candidate’s location.

Job Description

What you’ll get to do in this fast-paced role:

• Lead consolidation and reporting on key data quality metrics
• Engage with IT leadership to ensure that identified data issues are being fixed / cleansed
• Implement the EDO goals and guiding principles
• Build trust in data and how we use it
• Establish and embed collaborative ways of working to accelerate our data transformation
• Champion the safe and scalable use of data across the organization
• Develop framework for issue management, prioritizing based on the types of issues that would require the most support / highest escalation
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement of the issue management framework
• Engage with IT to help oversee the design and development of solutions and processes to address data issues
  

Job Requirements

What Your Resume Will Include And Demonstrate To Us

• 6+ years of experience in ETL and data pipeline processes, techniques and technologies
• Experience in leading and managing a team of analysts and developers
• Experience in different ETL and data analytics tools and technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Azure tools and processes, Informatica toolset, etc.)
• Experience in implementation of RPA tools (e.g. UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, Workfusion, etc.) and automation best practices
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile methodology
• Development experience in teams following DevOps and CI/CD best practices
