Dura-Line is growing and is currently hiring for a process-driven & highly skilled Plant Engineer to join the team at our Gravenhurst, ON manufacturing site. In this vital role, you will assess manufacturing operations and work closely with production to ensure quality, cost, and efficiency requirements are met in a timely manner and help implement standardized processes in the plant.
In this exciting role, you will manage the operational expense budget for department and facility (CAPEX) including to ensure projects are managed to budget and to schedule which includes initiating and implementing technical improvements, preventing and resolving technical problems, and assessing the capabilities of the processes, project planning for materials, and preventive maintenance, coordinating all electrical, machining and tooling requirements, develops and fabricates new equipment and tooling, etc. You will collaborate with production, maintenance, shipping and EHS to identify and implement projects related to efficiency, capacity, quality and safety. This key role will need to ensure all equipment is running in a safe efficient manner, assist with equipment breakdown in all departments, schedule all preventative maintenance, and maintain spare parts. We need someone with budget administration experience and strong project management skillset to develop economic analysis for significant CAPEX investments, coordinate monthly reviews & reporting, manage asset capitalization and disposition site, determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
You will have the platform to make an impact as we will invest in your development and give you the freedom to identify areas of opportunity and implement solutions. You will need hands-on experience in Engineering in a manufacturing environment a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Plastics engineering.

What else can help you succeed in this role?
You must be technology savvy with Proficient in Auto Cad, Excel, Word, Power Point. Experience in Lean initiatives and process knowledge to include troubleshooting, predictive maintenance, and identifying root cause issue to launch and investigation or solve the problem. We are looking for a self-motivated, action oriented, hands-on individual with a keen interest to learning individual. You will have the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, project management skills while maintaining excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Your skills in problem analysis and problem resolution will be an essential part of the job.
