At National Diabetes Trust (NDT), we divert more than 100 million pounds of clothing and household items from landfills. This energy savings is equivalent to planting 8.6 million trees each year.
We are currently seeking Part Time Donation Pick Up Drivers to collect and deliver clothing and household items. The primary focus of this position will be to service our valued customers through the door-to-door and donation box collection of used clothing and household items.
What We Offer
- Employee discount through Perkopolis
- Complete all pickups; includes drop bins, household and other special picks ups
- Conduct daily unloads at Our corporate partners; fill and empty trucks into/ out of storage facilities as needed
- Meet daily pick up and drop off quotas
- Drive in a safe and defensive manner at all times, avoid careless errors at all costs
- Produce and maintain excellent and accurate records as required.
- Portray a positive and professional image to the public, co-workers and our corporate partners
- Care for the truck as required by standard operating procedures
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel objects, tools, or controls; and stoop, crawl, kneel, or crouch; occasionally required to climb steps and balance
- Physically able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
- Full driver’s license
- Possess a clean driver abstract
- Must be able to pass background check
- Available on weekdays and weekends
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
