Dishwasher

Reports to

Kitchen Manager

Primary Focus

Responsible for setting up and operating the dishwashing machine. The dishwasher is responsible for cleaning duties inside and outside the restaurant as well as for helping the cooks when needed

Main Tasks/Activities

• Ensure the dishwashing area is clean and tidy
• Set up the dishwashing area and operate the dishwasher
• Regularly clean the garbage screens in the dishwasher and make sure the arms are free from debris
• Set up the bus pans for soaking cutlery and pre-soaking baked on dishes keeping the pre- soaking bins full of hot water
• Keep the outside sidewalks and grounds of the restaurant free of debris and litter and sweep outside of restaurant
• Keep public and staff washrooms clean and stocked
• Complete cleaning jobs outlined in the daily cleaning schedule
• Follow Health and Safety Procedures in the Health and Safety manual
• Keep the garbage containers emptied and cleaned
• Break down any boxes from order deliveries and put out for recycling
• In the winter months ensure that the front entrance, fire exits and receiving areas are free of snow and ice

Education and experience

• High School education
• No experience required.

Working conditions

• Fast paced restaurant environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week

Salary: From $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

• BURLINGTON, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
