Status: Professional, Permanent, Full Time

Responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to increase the performance and sustainability of all manufacturing operations within Sollio Agriculture. This individual will work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that the company achieves its goals and objectives in a timely and cost effective manner. He or she is also responsible for overseeing the implementation of process improvement initiatives and leading continuous improvement within operations. This leader will be expected to maintain a customer-centric and results-oriented approach to meeting the needs of the various stakeholders in the business. Areas of focus will include data analysis, performance metrics, change management, cost analysis and benchmarking.

Main responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to support continuous improvement and efficiency of manufacturing and distribution processes and procedures to maximize asset profitability;
  • Identify areas of improvement, develop action plans and monitor progress to ensure goals are met;
  • Design and implement process improvement initiatives and strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective production, distribution and customer service;
  • Develop and implement KPI metrics, including dashboards, to measure performance, identify areas of opportunity and implement corrective action plans;
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to increase efficiency, productivity and profitability;
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration to achieve desired result;
  • Monitor industry trends, customer feedback and market conditions to ensure manufacturing facilities remain competitive and innovative;
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and external organizations to ensure alignment;
  • Evaluate inindustry-leadingrograms and methodologies (Six Sigma, LEAN, etc.) and implement as appropriate.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (e.g. MBA) in a related field such as engineering or management with a minimum of 10 years of operations management or continuous improvement experience in manufacturing;
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Total Quality Management (TQM), Kaizen or other similar methodologies;
  • Demonstrate successful experience implementing and driving improvements across various functions and departments;
  • Think strategically and develop a long-term vision for the organization’s continuous improvement initiatives. Be able to identify areas for improvement and create a plan to address in a manner that aligns with the overall goals of the organization;
  • Experience in leading teams and able to motivate and inspire others. Effectively communicate vision and goals as well as manage and develop a team to drive continuous improvement;
  • Skilled in data analysis, and statistical tools and be able to develop and implement solutions based on objective data;
  • Communication skills to articulate complex concepts and ideas to a variety of audiences and be able to develop strong relationships with organizational stakeholders
  • Due to the nature of the position which requires interaction with national clients, bilingualism in French and English is required for this position.
