Known for the Nota Bene Bordeaux inspired blend, our focus is precise vineyard management, minimal intervention in the winery, and world class wine experiences offered to the thousands of visitors we see annually.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Direct to Consumer Representativeto join our Black Hills Estate Winery teamreporting into our Direct to Consumer Specialist.

We Are Looking For a Teammate With
  • Post-secondary education required. Focus on Office Administration and/or Hospitality is an asset.
  • Wine /spirits education is preferred. Previous winery experience is an asset.
  • High proficiency using Microsoft Office applications; Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong planning, organizational and execution skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to provide unsurpassed customer service.
  • Proficient in English with string written and oral communication skills. Additional language such as French or Mandarin are an asset.
  • Prior experience with CMS such as Wine Direct or Commerce7 is an asset.
  • Proficiency with standard Office Administration equipment.
This Teammate Will Be Responsible For
  • Servicing inbound calls and emails generating from all Wine Club Members and online sales orders.
  • Providing excellent customer service to all clients and assisting inquiries, with a focus on sharing the Black Hills brand, building brand loyalty in callers and shoppers and ultimately upselling through service excellence.
  • Assisting with Wine Club releases through responding to a large volume of client inquiries, supporting members through the shopping and customization of their orders, and ensuring seamless fulfilment and delivery.
  • Working with the DTC Specialist to generate an annual ecommerce offer calendar and managing all calls and inquiries relating to each ecommerce/ online shopping campaign.
  • Working with the DTC Specialist to generate on-brand communications to be shared in-pack and online for all wine club and ecommerce orders.
  • Managing multiple email inboxes to ensure client inquiries are responded to promptly.
  • Organizing communications and keeping records of prior interactions to ensure a custom service level.
  • Communicating with shipping company and acting as a liaison between shipping company and clients.
  • Tracking and completing damaged wine order claim forms and ensuring this is accounted for in both inventory as well as courier invoicing.
  • Ensuring retail teams and all stakeholders are informed about upcoming wine club and e-commerce activation and equipping them with information necessary to serve client/visitor inquiries at the Wine Experience Centre.
  • Responsible for creating and printing shipping labels in a prompt and timely manner. Ensuring all orders are shipped out from the winery within a maximum of 24hrs of receipt, on weekdays.
  • Liaising with Warehouse Operator to ensure the warehouse remains stocked with shipping materials and sufficient wine inventory.
  • Assisting with monthly wine inventory counts.
  • Understanding turnaround time during monthly ordering schedule to ensure we are always fully stocked with wine, tape, propane, shipping boxes, pallet wrap and other shipping and packing materials.
  • Follows safe work procedures and practices and reports all unsafe working conditions/hazards to DTC Specialist.
