The Health Care Foundation is currently looking for a highly organized, customer-oriented individual with a passion for making a positive impact on healthcare to join our team. We are hiring a Development Officer, Annual Giving to play a crucial role in engaging donors, crafting compelling stories, and growing our annual giving programs.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Development Officer, Annual Giving, you will:

• Identify fund areas to support and create captivating stories from donors, patients, or NLHS representative input.
• Create new avenues to grow Third Party Fundraisers, Staff Lotto 1 and Employee Giving program.
• Oversee the In Memory and Christmas programs, including Tree of Memories, Santa for a Senior and Breakfast with Santa.
• Drive growth of our monthly giving program and direct mail campaigns.
• Create persuasive written pieces that inspire support and engagement.
• Ensure timely receipting and appropriate donor stewardship.
• Provide responsive support to monthly donors, addressing inquiries and concerns.
• Foster donor relationships.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education.
• Previous experience in annual giving is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills, and the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, capable of multitasking and meeting deadlines.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with database systems. Experience with Raiser’s Edge is considered an asset.
• Meticulous attention to detail when handling donor records, financial transactions and other sensitive information.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and collaborative team player.
• Adaptability to shifting priorities; willing to assist in various tasks as needed.
