Traxxside specializes in the bulk transloading and transportation of food and feed grade grains, organic products, and industrial products from rail cars and trucks . We are seeking a full time Bulk Shipping &Receiving Laborer/Operator to join our team. This role will be focused on production with our Bulk team as well as housekeeping tasks. Traxxside operates a scheduled day shifts only Monday through Friday, and weekends only in special circumstances.

Duties include receiving and shipping bulk and palletized materials from railway cars, trucks and storage bins and silos. Housekeeping is a major part of this role. We provide training and a safe work environment.

The work environment is mostly outdoors (40%) or outdoors under cover (40%) in all weather. Tasks will require working with hand tools such as bars, sledgehammers, seal cutters, chain hoist, brooms, shovels, floor scrapers. As you gain experience with our operation and from your colleagues, you will be trained in the safe operation of stationary machinery and mobile equipment such as as conveyors, rail car door openers, car pullers/winches, vibrators, vacuums, bagging/packaging equipment, tractors, wheel loaders and fork lifts.

Here are some of the skills, abilities and previous experience we are looking for in our candidates:

-1+ years’ experience in warehouse/industrial/construction/landscaping/farming/agriculture environment

-Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and around heavy equipment

-High school diploma/GED

-Lift truck operator experience preferred

-Working at heights experience preferred

-Familiarity/previous training with HACCP protocols an asset

-Detail oriented and able to follow verbal and written instructions

-Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics

-Superior customer service and communication, time management & organizational skills

-Team player with positive attitude

-Good attendance and punctuality are a must

-Ability to lift up to 25 kgs

Salary: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
