DATABASE SPECIALIST

As a key member of an innovative Information Technology team, you administer Oracle, MSSQL and Sybase databases. You develop, document and maintain relevant standards, and are responsible for installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, tuning, and monitoring. You ensure database designs meet the requirements of the application and are proactive in detecting and preventing technical problems.

You have excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills, with an ability to consistently achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. You drive toward results, and ensure high-quality standards are met. You have the ability to effectively facilitate and promote individuals to work together to meet common goals.

You have extensive experience as an Oracle E-Business Applications and Fusion Middleware DBA. You have experience with Oracle database administration (12g/19c), RAC and ASM, Performance Tuning and Capacity Planning. You are experienced with Windows and Unix Administration and Oracle Application Server, combined with WebLogic (11g/12c), and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). You have experience with Oracle Cloud Control 12c and other Enterprise Management tools. Experience with Sybase ASE and SQL Server would be an asset. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and experience in Redis as a mechanism for application caching or distributed shared caching.

You have a Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or another IT related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with OCP certification.
