Peter Lucas Project Management is seeking a talented Commissioning and Startup Coordinator to join our dynamic team for a 1 year contract term. Responsibilities:


The C&SU coordinator has primary responsibility to ensure all work taken by him/her or his/her crew are completed in a safe manner abiding by all safety program requirements.

  • Responsible for leading the commissioning team to execute commissioning work safely and efficiently as per approved plans.
  • Responsible for planning of the commissioning work on multiple projects and collaborating with the project engineering and construction management teams.
  • Responsible for execution of the commissioning activities in the field ensuring commissioning activities are executed according to commissioning plans and schedules.
  • Responsible for daily coordination with operations personnel and construction personnel in the completion of commissioning activities
  • Responsible to obtain and organize permits, equipment and tools required for the commissioning field teams to execute work.
  • Responsible to verify completion and accuracy of tasks performed by the commissioning field team.
  • Accountable for the quality of the turnover documents accepted by the commissioning group.
  • Accountable to ensure work is completed in accordance with the drawings and specifications.


Salary: Open to wage negotiations based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • Journeyperson status as an instrumentation mechanic or electrician
  • Previous experience in a brownfield commissioning environment is required.• Hands-on proven experience in commissioning and start-up activities is required.
  • Previous experience in a nuclear facility is preferred.
  • Supervisor training/certification is required.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Subcontractors should carry Liability insurance.
