Are you a creative and innovative professional? Do you have excellent project leadership and coordination skills? If so, consider this opportunity as a Creative Services and Special Projects Manager with Destination Ontario also known as Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation (OTMPC).

We are looking for an innovative digital creative to lead creative production for all in-house developed creative assets, content extensions, campaigns and promotional activities. This will include providing project leadership in planning and coordinating the implementation of high-profile projects and managing corporate linkages with other government and tourism stakeholders.

About Us

Destination Ontario is responsible for leading the tourism marketing strategy to sell Ontario as a ’must-see’ destination. The Partnership is an agency of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport and is directed by an industry-led Board of Directors. It also works closely with industry through an extensive network of committees that involve a wide range of tourism stakeholders in the development and implementation of strategic tourism marketing initiatives.

What can I expect to do in this role?

  • Provide project management for various special/creative projects and campaigns within Destination Ontario
  • Provide advice and leadership on marketing and advertising to develop inter-governmental/inter-ministerial marketing programs
  • Provides administration of program budgets, prepares reports and expenditure summaries, and approves expenditures administers service contracts, and tracks contract costs
  • Build working relationships with stakeholders to generate awareness, enlist cooperation and ensure achievement of implementation plans for special/creative projects


How do I qualify?

Specialized Knowledge and Skills

  • You know how to develop digital marketing communications aligned to advertising best practices, methods and techniques.
  • You have knowledge of interactive communications and delivery systems, processes, and user interface design and industry best practices.
  • You have experience applying design, brand development and creative production processes.
  • You are able to develop creative programs and concepts to advance the organization’s brand strategy.


Project and Business Management Skills

  • You have project management and organizational skills to coordinate special/creative projects and ensure information is managed and delivered in a timely manner in an environment of conflicting priorities and deadlines.
  • You have financial and administrative skills necessary to manage program budgets, prepares request for proposals (RFPs), coordinate tendering, and manage contracts with external service providers.


Leadership Skills

  • You have leadership, partnership building, and negotiations skills to lead special/creative projects and form partnerships, foster cooperation and achieve common goals.
  • You can provide supervision and guidance to staff to create impactful and creative material and strategies.


Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • You have oral and written communication and presentation skills to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and prepare written correspondence, briefing notes, responses to inquiries, etc. using standard computer applications.
  • You have interpersonal and relationship management skills to build relationships with a range of contacts and work collaboratively.
