Because of our small studio culture, the successful candidate will need to have a high level of responsibility in many aspects of the business. Providing the client with a top-level experience is of utmost importance.

Responsibilities:

• Sketch and develop design concepts and strategies for assigned projects
• Production of high-quality rendering and presentation materials
• Participate in all stages of the project delivery and work with several construction professionals, including surveyors and engineers, producing drawings and specifications
• Ensure all requested design work follows the design specifications of the project, restrictive covenants, building code and municipality restrictions
• Knowledge of design principles, industry trends, research, construction methodology, and standard application of materials and finishes

Skills:

• Ability to work in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team environment
• Good working knowledge of Revit is essential
• Knowledge of 3D modelling (Enscape) and Adobe Creative Suites is an asset
• Working Knowledge of the Nova Scotia Building Code is an asset.
• An interest in accessible, sustainable design, and Passive House Principles is a plus.
