We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Concentrator Maintenance Planner. Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out operation and will be based in Labrador West, NL. This position will be Monday – Friday.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for proper planning of all maintenance activities related to the Concentrator.
  • Monitor and analyze maintenance reports, work orders, and history to optimize effective and efficient procedures, planning, and scheduling.
  • Ensure behavior is compliant with the site’s Safety Management Plan.
  • Work with Maintenance planning leadership, coordinators, and planners to develop short, mid, and long-term plans for equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure that site-related records are filed following company policy, statutory and contractual requirements.
  • Contributes to Maintenance Shutdown planning strategies to identify and prioritize future maintenance requirements and work with operations, engineering, maintenance, and outside contractors to ensure successful and safe execution.
  • Efficient ordering of parts through appropriate channels and approvals to execute sound planning activities.
  • Ensure the maintenance system is fully utilized to ensure transparency across the business and maintained accordingly.
  • Liaise with Maintenance Supervisors and purchasing and communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure resources are available when required.
  • Provide feedback to relevant leadership personnel regarding site issues that may affect the operating and financial performance of the operation and equipment.
  • Provide Concentrator Maintenance Superintendent with monthly reports and assist with changes where necessary.
  • Use the established systems to track maintenance activities against targets and notify leadership of gaps.
  • Contribute to the annual equipment budget where required.
  • Manage equipment transfer or disposal process; complete forms and send to areas where required, ensuring required approvals.
  • Constantly seek continuous improvement opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of processing facility operations in the Mining industry, including Concentrator maintenance, safety, maintenance, equipment, and staff utilization.
  • Project management with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in document control systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively train and mentor employees.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent work ethic and attendance record.

Education:

  • Journeyperson Trade Certificate or Technical Diploma

License:

  • Driver’s License (Required)
