The customer liaison-logistics analyst will have to deal with customers, internal departments and carriers for shipments and receptions. He will have to follow up on daily orders and coordinate actions to ensure that customer requirements are met.

He also supports the sales department for product development in order to satisfy customer requests quickly by assisting with the management of the portal submission processes and documentation compliance. He is a ‘power-user’ of the various customer portals. In addition, he ensures that new contracts correspond to the quotes made, provides updates if required and informs the team of any changes.

He will actively participate in continuous improvement by being part of the steering committee, and by taking an active role in the definition of logistics strategies as well as their priorities in connection with the strategic supply chain plan. He will be a member of a crisis management team for customer complaints (SWOT Team).

Specific Responsibilities

CUSTOMER SERVICE
  • Provides quality service in a dynamic environment.
  • Responds to customer requests and coordinates activities to meet requirements within prescribed deadlines.
He Deals
  • From daily order tracking to delivery confirmation.
  • Preparing the documents necessary for shipments (according to customer specifications).
  • Customer master data is created and kept up to date in the ERP and in internal documents (addresses, profile, follow-up, contacts, etc.).
  • Respond quickly to customer requests and complaints.
  • Inform the customer/carrier of problematic situations and follow up.
  • Create and update information for each customer in the ERP system.
  • Make the necessary entries as required in the client portal.
  • Maintain the inventory of customer cardboard boxes and enter the data in the customer portal.
  • Ensures an update of all the training required to meet customer expectations.
  • It provides a pivotal role between the internal departments:
  • Link between departments vs carriers vs customers.
  • Transfer of information obtained from customer portals.
  • Ensure that the information available in the customer portals is transferred to the production and engineering departments (ex. prototypes, requests for information, etc.) and communicates with them to respond to customer requests, if there is venue.
  • Sees that customer requirements are met.
LOGISTICS
  • Participates in defining and establishing shipping strategies with customers and carriers as well as schedule optimization strategies (entries and exits).
  • Perform major analyzes to recommend optimal and efficient ways of doing things for the warehouse logistics sector.
SALES AND DEVELOPMENT
  • Act as a ‘Power user’ of client portals.
  • Ensures the updating of the database and transmits to the colleagues concerned all the changes made to the contracts.
  • Manage service contract compliance with regards to, submissions, changes to processes and/or terms that impact official contracts.
Finance / Others
  • Investigation of unpaid invoices.
  • Administrative support when required.
Qualifications And Requirements
  • College or university education in an appropriate field
  • Customer service, internal sales or logistics: 5 years
  • Finances: an asset
Knowledge
  • MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • ERP system in a manufacturing environment

Context And Working Conditions
  • 40 hours per week
  • Overtime: Called to work outside normal working hours, flexible schedule and possible hybrid option.
