About the role

As a certified Service Organization with NRCan, Kambo Energy Group is looking for Certified Energy Advisors to consult on home energy audits and conduct energy modelling throughout BC. As an independent consultant, you will perform site visits, model the assessment data, and liaise with our assessment team to have your reports submitted to NRCan. The successful consultant will have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and strong attention to detail. To thrive in this role you must client focused, safety oriented, and have passed both your Foundation Level and Energy Advisor exams.

What you’ll do

• Perform energy assessments of buildings as per EnerGuide procedures.
• Perform energy modelling and generate reports to send to our Engineering Services Manager.
• Liaise with our assessment team to schedule assessments with clients.

What you bring

• 6 months to 2 years of experience conducting EnerGuide assessments and a relevant bachelor’s degree such as mechanical engineering, structural engineering or a diploma in engineering technology or building science.
• EnerGuide Energy Advisor (EA) certification required.
• Experience with energy modelling software CAN-QUEST or Portfolio Manager considered an asset.
• Ability to operate Blower Door test equipment. Preference will be given to candidates with their own Blower Door test equipment.
• Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to problem solve and multi-task in a fast-paced team environment.
• Client-focused mentality with the ability to adapt to client needs.
• Demonstrated awareness and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of diverse communities and organizations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel within Canada including remote communities an asset.
• Uncompromising attitude towards safety and quality.
• Professional demeanour and a culture ambassador for Kambo Energy Group.
