Atlas Alarm Systems is an established and trusted name in the Lower Mainland for Security and Safety Systems for Homes and Businesses.

We are looking for a Book Keeper / Accounting Clerk to join us for an immediate opening!

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education plus 1-2 years administrative experience at a senior level performing a range of diverse, administrative support duties
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word/ Excel/ Outlook/PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SAGE 50 is important to support direct reports with time and labor, management reporting and online expense procedures (right candidate can be trained)
  • Ability to work in fast pace environment with tight deadlines
  • Effective communication skills with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Candidate must be organized, reliable and flexible

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and running monthly recurring billing for its Companies (currently there are 6 companies in the portfolio)
  • Processing monthly pre-approved payments
  • Monthly journal entry & allocation of revenues
  • Calculating inter-company payrolls for allocation to its Companies
  • Executing payroll via Electronic Funds Transfer
  • Preparation and distribution of year-end T4’s
  • Administer employee benefits program
  • Handling records of employment
  • Calculating WCB claims for quarterly and yearly reconciliation
  • Handling collections for all its Companies
  • Setting up billing and recurring revenue
  • Processing & verification of credit cards and related transactions
  • Monitoring bank activity for oddities and errors
  • Handling AR for all its Companies
  • Handling AP including budgeting, invoices, cheques, and mailing for all its Companies
  • Electronic banking and online bill payments
  • Administer CRA payroll calculations and submissions
  • Handle transfers of of funds between its Companies and Banks
  • Year-end account reconciliations
  • Preparing and submitting of year-end working papers to accountants
  • Maintaining liaison between CBV and customers
  • Handling contract disputes
  • Creating journal entries for all its Companies
  • Utilizing report writer and searches
  • Preparing bank deposits
  • Maintaining line of credit/loans for all its Companies
  • Calculating commission for sales reps and query outstanding work orders
  • Assisting McDonald’s with corporate asset lists as required, ensuring purchase orders match work orders
  • Experience with Sage 50 program
  • Learn companies in-house programs

Compensation/Benefits:

$30 - $35 per hour (58K/yr - 70K/yr)
