What is the Opportunity?
ENTUITIVE is looking to grow its Toronto based Technologist group. We would like to supplement our existing team with a self-motivated, versatile individual who has a desire to work in a collaborative team environment. We are passionate about our work and are actively searching for those who are equally passionate about the built environment.
We are involved in a wide variety of project types including commercial, educational, institutional, and recreational and from the repair and restoration of existing buildings to the design and construction of new buildings. The Technologist would become an integral member of the Toronto office to help deliver unparalleled service to these types of projects.
The opportunity for increased responsibilities in office and field roles also exists. You will be working collaboratively with the project team from initial model development to final construction document issuance.
What will you do?
The role involves primarily office work and includes the following general tasks:

• Structural BIM modelling and project coordination. Working in conjunction with the Project Principal, Project Engineer, and other members of the design team you will complete projects of varying size and complexity from start to finish.
• In our team environment, as workload requires, you will also sometimes assist other Project CAD/BIM Technologists in completing work for their project deadlines.
• Coordinate the varying responsibilities associated with managing and producing drawings for structural projects, including managing specific files and directories and inter-discipline coordination with outside parties.
• Coordinate the work of junior technologists, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Support in creation of standards and methods to further the strategic development of relevant BIM technologies.

What do you need to succeed?

• 2-year diploma in engineering or architectural technology from accredited technical school.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Strong knowledge and working experience in MicroStation is required.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Detailed knowledge of and ability to use both Revit and AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of and ability to use programs such as Bluebeam, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Interest in applying new technology to support project processes.
• A valid driver’s and access to a vehicle.
• Hands on construction experience and/or work with existing facilities is considered an asset.
