Carmichael is looking for a part time Billing Coordinator at our Halifax branch. The position is currently for 16 hours (2 days) per week. Hours could increase in the future as we add more responsibilities to this role.

Responsibilities:


  • Process work orders, compute fees and charges, and prepare invoices for billing purposes.
  • Read, analyze and interpret contracts to properly prepare invoices.
  • Compile data from vendor invoices and supporting documents to verify accuracy of billing data and to ensure proper job costing.
  • Investigate and resolve information discrepancies prior to executing billing.
  • Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its business partners.
  • Investigate contracts billing problems while following corporate policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Post Secondary Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage data and accounting figures.
  • Strong diplomatic, and team building communication skills in order to address problematic billing situation with various internal or external stakeholders.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting systems and internal controls.
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
