The opportunity

The Global Mobility Team is responsible for mobilizing our people virtually, nationally, and globally in support of the firm’s Talent agenda while ensuring the firm’s compliance in moving people across borders. Our focus is creating a positive employee experience for our people while working with our stakeholders to assess & manage the complex compliance requirements of our programs.

One of our key accountabilities is supporting KPMG’s GO program. The GO program is KPMG’s international assignment program where we facilitate the movement of our people on short-term and long-term assignments to KPMG offices around the world. The team also supports all international and domestic relocations for the Canadian firm and assists with Canadian immigration and permanent residency matters.

The Global Mobility Senior Advisor is the subject matter expert and primary contact providing counseling and guidance to Business Unit Leaders and partners, assignees, transferees, new hires, HR and other stakeholders on all Global Mobility & Canadian program matters.

What You Will Do
  • Responsible for the placement and management of inbound & outbound candidates, operational case management and ensuring that the overall program objectives are achieved.
  • Promotes and communicates the Global Mobility program. This includes participation in local & virtual office presentations, regular reporting on mobility program utilization, and processes mobility packages with KPMG global contacts.
  • Responsible for social security and benefits calculations and reconciliations.
  • Working with our management team to review and reconcile invoices & payments.
  • Collaborates with team members to ensure appropriate and efficient deployment of our programs and continuously developing and implementing enhancements to processes.
  • Managing the tax, immigration and benefits analysis of all assignments.
  • Completion of immigration and tax assessments for International Business Travelers when business travel resumes.
  • Acting as an ambassador for KPMG to ensure candidates are provided with a positive recruitment experience.
  • Provide regular communication and reporting to the Global Mobility Leader and escalate issues and obstacles as appropriate.
  • Performance manage members of team.
At times, business needs arise and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal work day or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job. Likewise, people need extra time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.

What You Bring To The Role
  • A minimum of 5 years of Global Mobility experience in a high volume recruitment environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant post-secondary education
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
  • A solid understanding of cross border taxation & immigration matters.
  • Experience in maintain and building trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A commitment to ensuring candidates receive a highly professional and well-regarded experience throughout the relocation process.
  • Proficient in using technology including Excel and Powerpoint
  • Proven ability to work well in a fast paced, highly demanding, team environment.
  • Ability and experience to prioritize work based on requirements of multiple stakeholders.
  • Performance management or coaching experience.
  • Experience in running complex calculations and reconciliations.
  • Superior attention to detail.
This is a remote/hybrid position.
