Overview:
Be Fresh Local Market, cultivated by SPUD.CA is our retail division of cafes and markets within the beautiful city of Vancouver! Depending on the location, you can expect to find anything from specialty coffee drinks, on-tap kombucha, freshly prepared & vibrant on-the-go meals, to a smaller market stocked with organic groceries and cool local vendors. We are a unique hybrid café and grocery store, and we have a fast-paced, engaging environment.

Be Fresh is looking for a permanent, part-time or full-timeBarista for our Organic Acres Market (3603 Main Street). Hours are TBA, must be available weekends.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Whip up some yummy coffee drinks, or smoothies!
  • General daily café operations.
  • Use your creativity to merchandise products throughout the store.
  • Greet and assist customers with a smile and great attitude to help make their day special!
  • Work with your team to ensure a positive relationship and goals are met.
  • Keep the cafe market clean and tidy.
  • Assisting in any light food prep if necessary.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Barista experience.
  • Retail experience is an asset.
  • Passion for local, organic, sustainable food and products.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience in food service retail and enjoyment for the same.
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude!
  • Interest in joining a fun loving, fast moving company
Compensation:
  • $16.00 per hour + tips increasing by $0.50 after the probationary period.
  • Join now and receive an initial $250.00 of SPUD credit, and another $250.00 of SPUD credit after six months of employment ($500.00 total)
