Remdal is seeking an assistant project manager to strengthen our Painting Operations team.

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Remdal is a property renewal services company based in Surrey, BC. We primarily serve managed properties in the Lower Mainland (from Chilliwack to Squamish). In addition to interior and exterior painting, our skilled technicians perform concrete repairs, sealant renewal, urethane membrane renewal, wood repairs, and hazardous materials abatement. POSITION OVERVIEW

This is a full-time, salaried position that reports to our Painting Operations Manager, Jason Ewert. Compensation is commensurate with your experience and qualifications. Vehicle and cell phone allowances, along with other benefits, are provided by Remdal. The successful candidate for this position is required to provide a clean white vehicle, after successful completion of a three-month probationary period, for traveling to and from job sites. Hours for this position are typically 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday; however, customer contacts and meetings may occur during evening or weekend hours. During peak periods, additional hours may be required to complete our projects and serve our customers.

MISSION

The mission of the Assistant Project Manager is to assist senior members of our Painting Operations team as they estimate and manage projects. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Build caring, trusted relationships with Painting Operations Project Managers and Foremen, demonstrating our commitment to teamwork and support
  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day logistics on current projects (e.g. colour matching, customer communication, etc.)
  • Provide oversight and accountability for site safety practices through weekly site reviews with our on-site foremen
  • Communicate with customers clearly and proactively from start-to-finish of every project (including job setup, regular site visits, problem solving, and regular project updates)
  • Cultivate product, systems, and industry knowledge

We expect this individual to be a long-term member of our team. This assistant role is designed to be a starting point, providing the successful candidate opportunities to grow into a full-fledge project manager – or more!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree, continuing education, or technical certification is preferred.
  • Experience and Values:
    • Knowledge and/or Professional Experience in painting or another construction trade is preferred
    • Experience working in a team-oriented environment
    • Resonate with Remdal’s core values and mission
