The Ultra manufacturing function is responsible for the manufacture, integration and test of a wide range of products and systems providing innovative capabilities for our customers.The Assembly function in Ultra assembles and wires difficult and complex assemblies, using drawings, operation sets and engineering documents. The Test function will test, fault find and identify the repair to be undertaken on a range of products to meet our customer commitments in terms of quality and timescales. It ensure that the units under test have passed all the parameters as laid down in theProduct Test Schedule before releasing.Operator roles in Ultra work under the guidance of a supervisor to perform operations duties safely and effectively and complete assigned duties in a timely manner.These roles perform a range of clearly defined procedures, and will typically be considered skilled through on-the-job experience. Resolves routine issues without supervisory approval. Has developed skills through formal training and/or work experience.

• Required Skills & Capabilities:
• Grade 12 or Equivalent experience and capability
• Good working knowledge of recognized industry workmanship standards
• Soldering and mechanical assembly skills compliant with recognized industry workmanship standards
• Competent computer skills
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Physical job demands
• Good understanding and application of lean manufacturing principles
• Ability to maintain a high level of productivity without compromising quality standards
• Attitude: has a positive can-do attitude in everyday work
• The successful person must be able to gain the appropriate Canadian government NATO Security Clearance and satisfy all requirements to be able to work on Canadian Controlled Goods projects.
